Massillon Math Team in Action!🏆➗📐
On Saturday, March 1st, we hosted the Stark County Math Tournament, where 755 students in grades 5-7 put their problem-solving skills to the test across six challenging categories!
Massillon was well represented with 45 students competing—and they delivered an incredible performance! 35 of our students placed 8th or higher, and 4 brought home trophies for 1st or 2nd place!🎉🏅
We’re so proud of our Tigers for their hard work, dedication, and love for math!

We are grateful for our The Legacy Project of Stark mentors!✨
Our Massillon Intermediate School students recently explored finding truth by shining a flashlight on their path and discussed how influences shape their choices. They also had fun hitting their goals with a hands-on activity while learning how to set and achieve them.
Thank you to our mentors for inspiring our Tigers!🐯

Celebrating Black History Month in the Classroom
Throughout February, our Tigers have been engaging in activities that highlight the impact and significance of Black History Month. Check out some of the things our students have been working on!
📸In Mrs. Frank’s class, students researched and wrote reports on Rosa Parks and Harriet Tubman, diving deep into their impact on history. They’ve also been analyzing powerful quotes from speeches given by influential African American leaders.
📸Our 8th-grade history students created informative posters showcasing prominent abolitionists, including key historical facts and notable publications.
📸Mrs. Arner's kindergarteners have been exploring "Heroes in Black History" books—reading about a new influential figure each day and bringing their stories to life through colorful illustrations.
