Cap & Gown and Class Ring Informational meeting will be held Sept. 21 in the Auditorium. Seniors (cap & gown) 9:30 and Sophomores (class ring) 10:10. Jostens will be available during lunch mods for ordering on Sept. 28, Oct. 5 and Dec. 8.

Thanks for a great start to the 22-23 school year! This is just a reminder to all students that drive to school. The deadline for $5 parking passes has been extended through Tuesday, September 6. If a student parking pass is not purchased and obtained by Tuesday, September 6, the price for these parking passes increases to $10.
In order to park in our student lot, you MUST have a student parking pass visible in your car during school hours.

Drama Club has its first meeting of the year Wednesday, September 7th right after school in the auditorium. The Fall play and cast and crew opportunities will be discussed. See Mrs. Erichsen with any questions!

Below are a couple of reminders to help get you started:
1. First day of school is August 18. You will report to your Homeroom/Academic Assist by 7:15AM to receive your new schedule.
2. Doors will open at 7:00AM each day. Do not arrive much earlier than 7:00am.
3. Warning bell to get to your 1st mod class is at 7:10am.
4. Enter door #4 for breakfast, or door #1 if not eating breakfast.
5. Remember to bring your Chromebook to school each day.
6. You have 3 minutes in between each class. Be efficient and utilize time wisely. Do not be late to next class.
7. Keep your cell phones away throughout the school day. Keep them at home or put away in backpack.
8. Extracurricular events such as games, dances, etc after school are privileges. Earn this privilege on a regular basis at school through consistent good behavior.
9. Parents/Guardians: If you are dropping a student off to school in the morning:
(A) Do not drive into the bus lane
(B) Use all of the student parking lanes available
(C) Pull your car all the way through and to the end of each lane in parking lot (D) Multiple students can be dropped off through each lane used, rather than 1 car dropping off at a time to help all traffic move efficiently

SENIORS - MANDATORY GRADUATION PRACTICE - May 24 at 11:00AM at Paul Brown Tiger Stadium. Arrive by 10:45AM. Cap and gown is not required for practice but please wear school appropriate attire.
SENIORS - Chromebooks will be collected again May 17 in the side room by the elevator. Reminder that all fees and fines must be paid so you can walk for graduation. Failure to return your chromebook or charger will become a fee and fine.
Attention SENIORS: Important Announcement:
*You will have a survey request emailed to your SCHOOL EMAIL with information related to final transcripts. You need to complete this form to have your final transcripts emailed or mailed to colleges, NCAA, financial institutions or for personal use. You have until June 3rd to edit or complete these requests through this form.
*All fees and fines need to be paid to release all final transcript requests.
*Also, all fees and fines need to be paid to receive your cap/gown.

FYI, students being dropped off in the morning and/or walkers:
Beginning March 18, 2022, Washington High School will not open the doors to the school building until 655am. Please adjust your morning routine accordingly to not arrive at the high school before 655.
Your student will be bringing home an AIR test schedule. On days that your students does not test, he/she will be on a 2 hours delay schedule and Mod 1 will begin at 9:20. Bussing will run on a regular schedule for students coming in to test and for students coming in on a 2 hour delay.

The WHS counselors have reviewed all of your course selections and made the necessary changes for next year. Please take this week to log in to your HOME ACCESS CENTER (HAC) and review your requested courses. If you have any questions or would like to make a last minute change, please contact your counselor by email. The last day to contact your counselor is Friday, Mar. 18th by 2:00pm. Any schedule change beyond this time will occur due to the following circumstances only:
*Scheduling conflict (backup courses listed will be utilized)
*CCP requirements not met (backup courses listed will be utilized)
*Drop a course for a study hall (6 classes must remain)
*An ‘F’ earned at the end of 21-22 and credit recovery must be added
