2016 Camp What If?

What is Camp What If?

You can make a difference! Do you believe it? Camp What If is a weeklong summer day camp for creative, thoughtful middle school students. It exposes them to the pluses and challenges of urban centers – to inspire even greater creativity and thought! Their experiences this week fuel audacious ideas that serve the common good, unveiled in presentations at the close of the week.

Camp What If is for middle schoolers who want to make their world a better place. The first half of the week is full of field trips to learn more about different areas of the city. Imagine meeting the mayor, business leaders, and downtown artists! During the second half of the week, take what you’ve experienced and create ideas that highlight the good parts of the city and help solve the challenges. Do something that matters and have a good time doing it! That is what Camp What If is all about.

Maybe you don’t have a dream or a plan yet. That’s ok! Camp What If will not only be a time to create but also a time to learn. Imagine a gigantic scavenger hunt all over the city where you’ll get to explore Canton and Massillon in ways you’ve never had the opportunity before.

If you ever thought that you had something to say to the world, but didn’t know how, when, or what to say, the Camp What If is for you! It’ll be like a gigantic smash up of awesomeness, learning, fun, and imagination that’ll explode into something wildly mattertastic (something that fantastically matters)! And, yes, if you come to the camp, you too will get to make up fancifuliscious words.
