Upon arrival, graduating seniors and families should park in the main parking lot and enter through the Ticket Office/Athletic Entrance. Seniors and families will be directed to designated areas to ensure social distancing and specific safety protocols are followed. When the graduating student and family enter the Auditorium, the family will be directed down the left aisle to a designated viewing area and the student will proceed down the right aisle and onto the stage, their name will be called, and they will proceed across the stage to receive his or her diploma. The graduate and family will then exit the back of the auditorium, at which time school personnel will take a photo of the graduate holding his or her diploma. Graduates and families will then exit the school out the Performing Arts doors.

We have collaborated with our local health department in an effort to ensure specific safety procedures are followed. Each graduate will only be allowed four family members. There will be no exceptions to this guideline. We are offering time intervals keeping the health and safety of all involved as our priority. Our administrative team has worked extremely hard in an effort to maintain a balance between recognizing the great Class of 2020 as well as maintaining appropriate safety recommendations to make this event as memorable as possible. In an effort to celebrate this special occasion for our Class of 2020, please understand that patience and cooperation is needed to help this run smoothly.

Upon completion of all graduates receiving diplomas and having their photo taken, the Massillon City School District will then produce a video including customary speeches and a slideshow of Graduate photos. Once again, the cooperation from our graduates as well as their maximum four family members will be necessary for this event to safely take place. Due to the importance of the necessary safety measures we have in place, the Massillon City School District reserves the right to remove any person(s) who do not comply.
