Hobbies: Spending time with wife Sonia and 2 children, traveling and watching sports and movies.

Work Experience: 24 years experience in the Media industry as Pyrotecnico FX show producer, SMART Technology trainer, Lucasfilm theater designer and several private Media Entrepreneurship endeavors. 3 years as WHS Media Productions Teacher

Hobbies: Long and short out-of-town trips with his wife Christine, roller coaster club events and his continuous search for the best Southwest and Italian food spots on the planet. Matthew and Christine have two cats they lovingly refer to as “the kids”


Lights! Camera! Action! Ever wondered how your favorite movie was made? Or what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite TV show? Would you enjoy a career in television, radio, film or webcasting? Or maybe work "behind the scenes"? Welcome to Media Arts & Communication. This program provides both classroom and “hands on” experience for each student. Along with certain college preparatory courses, this class will be very helpful for those students pursuing a career in Digital Arts, Entertainment Business, Film Production, Media Communications and others. All students are required to join BPA and participate in at least two after-school events each quarter as part of their course work. 

Credentialing Opportunity: Final Cut Pro Apple Certification
