Course Description

Technology Education:

A comprehensive study of the knowledge and processes necessary in designing, making, developing, producing, using, managing, and assessing of technological systems and products.

Dimensions of technology include assessing impacts and consequences of technology, nature and history of technology, and connections. Technological systems and products are those systems and products that change the world around us to satisfy our needs and wants. In particular Technology Education focuses on the systems and products of the energy/power/transportation, manufacturing, construction, communication, and bio-related/chemical fields. These activities may take place in thematic units at the middle levels.
