MASSILLON, OHIO – March 23, 2012 – At its meeting Wednesday night, the Massillon City Schools Board of Education approved the hire of Sandra Moeglin as the new treasurer for the district.

“I am excited to begin my new role as treasurer of Massillon City Schools,” Moeglin said. “I look forward to getting to know the Massillon community and working with the board of education and administrative staff as they prepare their vision to move the district in a positive direction.”

Moeglin has spent the last four years as treasurer of the Marlington Local School District. She has 13 of years of experience as a school treasurer and worked as the superintendent’s secretary for Brown Local Schools for six years.

Moeglin’s contract begins August 1. Tamra Hurst will continue to act as interim treasurer until then.

“Sandy really stood out to us during the interview process,” said Superintendent Richard Goodright. “She was professional, well prepared and knowledgeable, and provided excellent references. I think she will be a positive asset to our district.”
