Board of Education Recognizes Students of the Month

Jayson Johnson- Jayson is a senior at Washington High School. He is involved in football, track, Students of Promise and Success Club. His post high school plans are either to attend college or enter into one of the branches of the military. Jayson's favorite memory at WHS is running out of the tunnel for his first time as a Tiger.

Heather Bomba- Heather is a senior at Washington High School. She currently carries a 4.0 GPA and is ranked fifth in her graduating class. Heather is involved in several activities at WHS: Majorette/Squad Leader in the Tiger Swing Band, Pep Club member, National Honor Society member and a member of National Technical Honor Society. Heather plans on going to college to major in nursing. She hopes to become an RN and possibly a nurse practitioner.

Jaylen Leedy- Jaylen holds the qualities that make a good citizen and academic student. He is respectful and kind towards his teachers and his peers. Jaylen is always there to lend a hand, especially to a student who is in need of extra help. Jaylen is a responsible young man and can be counted on to do the "right thing." By his actions in the classroom, it is evident that education is very important to him.

Emma Bachtel- Emma is a very kind student. She puts effort into her work and participates often. She has a wonderful attitude and she loves to learn. Emma is always willing to help her classmates and is a positive role model for the rest of the class. Her work ethic is above average for the 8th grade.
