Mr. Sykora's Mod 6/7 language arts class is involved in something truly special: The Tiger "I" Movement. This idea comes from the movie,
Pay it Forward. The "Tiger" in the title is self-explanatory, and the "I" stands for the students themselves. The sudents in the class peronally want to make a commitment to reading and using their abilities to thank our great community. The "Movement" is the students taking on the challenge of reading as many books as possible, getting sponsors for each book they read, and then giving it all back to the community.
Our students at MMS are very thankful for all of the community support that they receive. This is a way for the students to thank the community and the citizens of Massillon for all that they do to ensure they get a
great education. On one random day this spring, the students who have participated will go out into the community and give back all they have earned from reading to say "thank you."

After only three weeks, the students have read 21 books and have raised a total of $157.00 to give back to the community. They are so excited to be reading
and giving back.
