Mission Statement

The Massillon City School District (MCSD) is committed to supporting Massillon Digital Academy’s mission of enhancing and facilitating student learning by combining state-of-the-art digital curriculum and instruction with local school resources that complement that instruction and preparing students to become lifelong learners and productive citizens. MCSD will monitor and assess the goals of the Education Plan of the sponsorship agreement aligning them with the Assessment and Accountability Plan. MCSD will monitor; and assist with governance compliance; and provide feedback for fiscal viability and sustainability – providing intervention, if needed; and evaluate legal compliance of all areas of the contract. As a community school sponsor, the Massillon City School District is dedicated to continuous improvement in our core responsibilities as authorizers.

Massillon Digital Academy will meet or exceed state academic and graduation accountability standards on an annual basis.

Massillon Digital Academy will be rated effective or higher on compliance with all applicable laws and rules.

Massillon Digital Academy will have an overall sponsor rating of effective or exemplary on an annual basis.
