Work Experience: Pharmacy Instructor at WHS for 6 years; 27 years in Hospital Pharmacy Industry; Hematology/Oncology Center for 8 years; Pharmacy Technician Certification Advanced Training Instructor for 18 years 

Hobbies: Karaoke, Cruising, Swimming, Biking, Tennis, Basketball, Brain Games and Reading

PHARMACY AS A PROGRAM & PROFESSION

The Pharmacy Tech program consists of crafty competencies, dazzling drugs, math mania, candy crush compounding and tidbits of tabletop technology. Students learn components from each section. They receive a certification detailing customer conduct and communication skills, which are defined as “soft skills”, the foundation on which you build relationships. Students learn different formulas for math and translate medical terminology words and apply them to different drug categories. Students compound an ointment, oral suspensions, capsules, and IV admixtures. The classroom motto is: Eat-Sleep-Pharmacy-& -Repeat.

Credentialing Opportunity: Pharmacy Technician Certification, EMT Basic Certification, CPR Certification
