Education: Malone College-Bachelor of Arts in Business Management; Ashland University-Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction; Mount Union College-Teaching Licensure

Work Experience: 22 years teaching with Massillon City School with 18 as Marketing Career Technical Program teacher. 20 years of Business and Marketing industry experience in the areas of retail management, operations-sales, loan originator, financial advisor, business ownership and real estate. Coached multiple sports including current Cross Country Head coach. Other WHS capacities including Distinguished Citizen Committee Chairman, Scholarship Committee and Alumni Association board of trustees.

Hobbies: Spending time with my children daughter (Sarah) and son (Joshua) and family, traveling, cruising, sports and music.

MARKETING AS A PROGRAM & PROFESSION

If you like real life experiences in a global business environment, then the Marketing program is for you. The project based curriculum is designed for students who have an interest or curiosity to learn to develop business skills that extend their knowledge beyond a typical high school course focusing on the areas of:

Selling Financing E- commerce Basics

Promotion Risk Management Desktop Publishing

Pricing Marketing Research Stock Market Portfolio

Distribution Management

The class operates the Tiger School Store to give a “hands-on” experience in marketing. You also learn how to advertise, promote and run your own business. It also involves on-line activities such as Virtual Business, Sports Marketing, Stock Market Game, Financial Simulations and Desktop Publishing. The class competes in DECA competitions at local, state, and international levels; and travels to many destinations such as New York City, Orlando and California. If you want to be prepared to pursue business in college or enter into a high demand career; then Marketing is for you!
