Action Plan

 Reading Goal: BY 2015, ALL SUBGROUPS WILL MEET OR EXCEED THE ANNUAL MEASURABLE OBJECTIVES AND THE PROGRESS MEASURE FOR THE DISTRICT WILL ATTAIN AN OVERALL GRADE OF A INCLUDING GIFTED, STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES AND LOWER 20%.

   Action Steps

1.     Data teams will use the district protocol to complete the 5 step process and use all provided data to inform instruction and develop future implementation plans.

2.     Implement Ohio’s New Learning Standards

3.     Provide PD on strategies that support the Ohio New Learning Standards; differentiated instructional practices, academic vocabulary and explore the possibility of Literacy Design Collaborative (LDC) as an instructional planning tool.

4.     Provide professional development on reading & writing strategies; informational text strategies, academic vocabulary & close reading strategies.

5.     Provide professional development on writing assessments.

6.     Collaboratively score writing assessments using standards based rubrics.
